Rochester Deaf Club “Deaf In Prison” Viewing & Discussion

Amazing standing room only at Rochester Recreation Club for the Deaf at yesterday’s ‪#‎DeafInPrison‬ Viewing & Commnity Forum.

Three Deaf artists presented about their own experiences hosting art workshops for Deaf, DeafDisabled and Hard of Hearing people who are incarcerated in upstate New York prisons. HEARD’s intern & volunteer who are also RIT/NTID students shared their experiences as youth advocates with HEARD. Monroe County Sheriff’s Dept learned from the communityand shared about their recent connection with RIT & HEARD to improve access to law enforcement services for the Monroe County Community.
